So just to give you all an idea......

this is pretty much the same thing I got over and over! =) Talking to her little shakers, trying to eat them, messing with the skirt, then dropping them in her skirt and hunting for them...so on and so on! =)
So Sam's Birthday is coming up (I'm still floored that she's going to be 1) and my sis is having an Hawaiian theme for it. She found this little get-up for her invites. So I get everything set up...ready to go, get her up from her morning nap (which she is the happiest)......and then BAM.... no smiles for me...I mean I was making all sorts of goofy noise, singing my heart out (and it's not a pretty sound either)....NOTHING, she barely would look at me!
These basically sum it up.....what a little turd! =) I'll have to give it another go tomorrow otherwise...Val you'll have to pick from these (#1 and #2 are lookin' real good right now)! =)

I can't get over you calling her a little turd LOL!! Isaiah is EXACTLY the same. No matter what I do, he will NOT look at me, stubborn little creature. I take a jingly pooh-bear toy with me when I'm on client shoots with kids around the 6 - 1 year old mark. Works like a charm with them, but funnily enough, doesn't do squat for my own kid.

I think, even without eye contact, the photos are adorable anyway.

these are so cute...I tried the same thing when Emmie turned one...we had a little Hula for her birthday too...but she wanted nothing to do with the lay(sp?) head piece..or grass skirt...she just ripped them off and screamed up a storm...so I dont even have this much...just some great pictures of the cake...and the goldfish snacks...doesnt have the same effect...;) great job..trust me I know the frustration...its like the dont even have ears :)

Thanks Amy! =)

Thanks so much! I haven't seen you on ILP lately so I went to the next best thing...your blog! I think I'm going to visit more often...those photos of Bowie and the piano are fanstatic! =) I use to go to school in San Marcos...I love it down there and miss it so much.

LOL...well she was being one! She'd close her lips so tight and give me a mean little look...shooting darts right at me. I tried today with your suggestion and even looked like E.T. when I put stuffed animals all around me...still nothing. I think I was hoping for that look she gave me in the angle one, but now that I think of it...that's the only time I've gotten it. =)

Thanks you so much...I'm actually humbled...thank you! =)

I can picture Emmie wrangling with all that stuff...it makes me laugh just thinking about it. =) Thank you sweetie!
