inspiration....

It's funny where we find inspiration....I look at magazines so differently now and I'm sure my husband hates watching movies with me because I'm looking at shots and the big picture instead of following the storyline. LOL!!

Anywho....we watched Charlotte's Web this weekend and I was just taken back with the illustration at the end off it....LOVE it and I could watch it over and over again. =) LOVE the odd crops, the DOF and of course the vintage colors. So I wanted to share it with you guys....especially you photogs and our endless need to find inspiration. =) Plus the song rocks too...I do think I'll make this my theme song..especially when I feel I'm in a rut and may not be cut out for this. LOL!!

Here's the lyrics for you guys to sing long....go ahead don't be embarrassed and reach for those high notes! =)

It’s not that usual when everything is beautiful
It’s just another ordinary miracle today

The sky knows when its time to snow
You don’t need to teach a seed to grow
It’s just another ordinary miracle today

Life is like a gift they say
Wrapped up for you everyday
Open up and find a way
To give some of your own

Isn’t it remarkable?
Like every time a raindrop falls
It’s just another ordinary miracle today

Birds in winter have their fling
And always make it home by spring
It’s just another ordinary miracle today

When you wake up everyday
Please don’t throw your dreams away
Hold them close to your heart
Cause we are all a part
Of the ordinary miracle

Ordinary miracle
Do you want to see a miracle?

Its seems so exceptional
Things just work out after all
It’s just another ordinary miracle today

The sun comes up and shines so bright
It disappears again at night
It’s just another ordinary miracle today

It’s just another ordinary miracle today

That's really funny, Bren, I thought I was the only one who does that...I even try to guess the exposure and the angle for it.

I would look at a nature shot and I would say, "Okay, if there is a person there, where will I let them stand?" LOL! Love Charlotte's web. Hope you are well.

phew! I do that too! Especially with the urban looks of some edgy movies. I'd love to have more practice with bridal shots in urban settings and colors:) Cinematography is really inspiring me these days with angles, DOF, and colors! Thanks for the inspiration (We LOVED Charlotte's Web too!)

Oh my gosh! How funny that you posted this. We saw Charlotte's Web over Easter, and I don't think I've ever watched the credits of a movie so many times. The illustrations are absolutely beautiful, and the song brought me to tears. The tears may have had something to do with the fact that we were approaching my daughter's first birthday, and the thought of what a miracle she is and how fast she has already grown up was just too much for me.

The kids watched Charlottes web yesterday, but I missed it. The one that really got me last week was "The Constant Gardener", I kept saying to GB look! wow! look at that shot!!!! (and now I want to go to Africa...)

haha we were watching a movie the other night and I kept saying "ooh look at that backlighting....ooh look at that sunflare" and he's like "wow, are you even paying attention to the storyline?" haha...it's funny how photography makes you more aware of your everyday surroundings!

I do that all the time now too! With movies, tv, magazines... now I'm going to have to rent Charlotte's web!! And I love those lyrics, I've been looking for some quotes for my website, those first 2 lines would be perfect, would that bother you if I "stole" them?

Now that you're inspired, go take more perfect Gracie pictures :)

LOL Bren! I'm exactly the same! Hubby hates it, lol! AND I felt exactly the same about the end illustration on Charlotte's Web. It's funny where we get inspiration from these days!
