In less than 3 weeks........

my little girl starts Kindergarten....I'm freaking out a little about it too...I'm going to be a mess the day she starts! I'll probably stalk the school! =) I can tell just in the past couple days that she's older (or at least acts older). She pretty much demands on picking out her own clothes though most of the time it doesn't match or she wants to wear a long sleeve shirt in 100+ degree weather. =)

The first one just melts my heart....I'm not sure why but when I opened it up and started to cry. I'm an emotional mess lately (and no, I'm not preggo)...I thought I'd enjoy her starting school with all the free time and none of "mommy, play with me...or get me a drink, or I want a snack" every 5 minutes. She's pretty much been attached at my hip for the last 5 years and now I won't have her for 6 hours a day/5 days a week.

OK, buck up Brenda.....thanks for hearing my pity party story! I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Just sharing one.....

For some reason, I'm drawn to this one...not sure why, but I find myself just staring at it. Sam was making conversion with her pant ties.....

Thank goodness someone invented the DUSTBUSTER!

Gracie wanted to feed Sam today and I thought about it for a nano-second and figured I'd have food all over my walls, so I compromised with her and said she could feed her Goldfish crackers. Needless to say....I did a little clean-up around the house and this is what I came back too.....Goldfish Soup! Gracie decided to mix a little up with milk....EEWWWW!

And yes....Sam ate it and actually asked for more through sign language! She'll eat ANYTHING! =) I had crumbs all over the table, floor, highchair, chairs....even the dog Scout (he's got it all figured out, he lays under Sam's chair waiting for scraps to fall. =)

So I had to stuck her in the tub....and Goldfish crumbs fell out of her tushy! =)

All Done.......

I just need to size and sharpen.....WOO-HOO!

I finally finished up with Sam...I still need to proof them (which will take 1/3 of the time it use too...WOO-HOO) and I need to do a couple more with Gracie and we will be done! Here's some of the little turd.....

OK, is it me or does Photobucket make it look all wonky in URL? It's the only way I can post them bigger and sometimes they look fine and others, they look squirrelly? Oh well....

And now that I look at them...I like the colors in the first one better...what do you guys think? I used Amanda's Punch Up on that one...it stands out better I think. Have I said actions are awesome yet? LOL!!

And on another note, I'm late (as usual) on my assignment...I'm vowing right here and now to bunker down and really get it going! =) The rest of them are going to be so much fun to do...I can't wait but I just wanted to get these done for Leslie so she can get her website going...she's been so great to work with...she just lets me have free reign to do whatever....it ROCKS! =)

PSCS2....the greatest program ever invented!

I've been having to do all pp with Photoshop 5.5...it doesn't allow me to have actions since most of them are meant for 7.0 and above! And can I say OMG....actions are my new best friend! My time spent on the computer is going to be so much less....it's the BOMB! =) Here's a couple.....Gracie is being a goof, messing with her piggies. I just let her be and starting snapping away...I'll share some more later! =)

The b/w conversion is Robin Purcell's with just a tad of tweaking and the color one is Peta's wonderful color pop...LOVE it! =)

So no pictures of Gracie or Sam today....it's of Gracie's fabulous creation! =) She's been on a kick lately trying to draw some pictures out of her books and today she drew the PLUMP AND PERKY TURKEY (one of the funniest kids books that I've read). Isn't it cute.....what an artist!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SAM!

Miss priss is turning 1 today....OH MY how the times flies! What a little cutie she is and I am so lucky to be able to spend so much time with her....I just love her pieces!

Just me and my pig.....

So I saw Michelle's Jenna with her Betty the Bunny photos on her blog and I just had to take some with Gracie and her pig. Jenna and Gracie have the same bunny but she wanted to use the pig...we have the whole farm series...they are cute and so soft. Michelle's photos are outside in beautiful flowers and some stuff like wheat (I have no clue what types of flowers are except begonia because they'll live through a tornado just about (yes, if anyone is wondering...they are still alive...a BIG HIGH FIVE please)! Anywho, I have to settle for inside...it's so stinkin' hot here and I've got nothing like Michelle's bg around here...bummer! =)

On another note.....I have a gecko in my house! That little bugger is one tricky and sly critter....I see him in the morning and when I got get something to trap him in, he disappears. I know he's mocking me......and I just shiver at the thought of waking up at night and stepping on him or worse yet....him getting in the bed. We imply the catch and release program here, but he's really pushing my buttons...I'm not sure if I can do the right thing. Knowing that little fellow, he'd come right back in! =)

I just finished Amanda's second assignment and it was soo soo hard! I told her I wasn't as happy with the photos and she was so nice.....she gave me the cc that I needed and basically just verified why I'm taking her class. She is sooo awesome and makes me think about things that never crossed my mind before. I know I have a style already and I've accepted it...some of you all call it Pottery Barn Kids....that makes me laugh everytime I think about it...if only I could market it that way. And I love that some of you all have said that they can see a photo in the gallery and already know it's me, but I want to turn a corner with my photography and I want you guys to see a photo and then be shocked that I took it...KWIM? =) So anywho, here's a couple that I submitted to Amanda...I can't put my finger on it but for me, they didn't have that WOW factor that I want....don't get me wrong, I'm happy with them, but I think you can immediately tell they are mine.....and Gracie is a dead give-away too! =)

And also for all you guys that are interested in the cute hats and shoes, I talked to Leslie yesterday and she said to just email her directly if you want to purchase any. =)

Here's a couple more....I'm slowing getting them done along with laundry (yes, still doing it), cleaning the house and all the fun stuff! What do you guys think of the bright colors? I know, it's normally not me but I think it's funky and fun...like the hats! =)

I have to get my second assignment done tonight for Amanda's Workshop...hopefully I can pull it off, it's a toughy! I just LOVE how she challenges me. =)

We're back and we're tired! =)

We got back late last night from our trip to Illinois and we had so much fun! It's so beautiful up there and I could kick myself because I honestly didn't take a lot of photos. Here's a couple with the hats and I'll definitely post more, but we are worn out! Thank goodness today is a veg day and you should see all the laundry I have to do....it's not a pretty site (one of the drawbacks when going on vacation)! =)

Also, here's a quick one of the college up there...the building is awesome with all the stone and textures....I just about had a hissy fit when I saw it....I wish we had buildings like this here in Texas. =)
